It took four long years to complete Second Star Mansion. Every minute detail had to be painstakingly attended to. Eleven containers of building materials, chandeliers, flooring, sinks, tile, furniture and more were brought to Homer from around the world. Every detail had to be perfect.
The owner scoured world markets, online boutiques, and Alaskan handcrafted shops to find unique, one-of-a-kind items like the wooden rocking horse in the Darling Suite, the $30,000 blue hanging crystal chandelier hand made in Europe, handles, accents and furniture to exactly suit the sparkle and flavor of every room, each display, and the smallest nook.
